Question 1

What else is a 1980 Datsun Bluebird sold as?

Accepted Answer

A 1980 Datsun Bluebird is also sold as the Nissan Bluebird in the UK, the Nissan Bluebird in Japan. The Nissan Bluebird is the same car under a different badge, so parts generally interchange.

Question 2

Do Nissan Bluebird parts fit a Datsun Bluebird?

Accepted Answer

For a market twin like the Nissan Bluebird, parts interchange in most cases because it is the same vehicle with different badging. Mechanical and service parts are the safest; lighting, bumpers and trim can differ between markets, and right-hand-drive versus left-hand-drive affects steering, mirrors and dashboards. Always check the part number against your own car before buying.

Question 3

What does 910 mean on a Datsun Bluebird?

Accepted Answer

910 is the chassis or generation code for the 1980 Datsun Bluebird. Parts catalogues for older and imported cars are usually organised by chassis code rather than by model year, so it is the most reliable thing to search on.
