Question 1

What else is a 1981 Datsun Sunny sold as?

Accepted Answer

A 1981 Datsun Sunny is also sold as the Nissan Sunny in the UK, the Nissan Sentra in the USA. The Nissan Sunny is the same car under a different badge, so parts generally interchange.

Question 2

Do Nissan Sunny parts fit a Datsun Sunny?

Accepted Answer

For a market twin like the Nissan Sunny, parts interchange in most cases because it is the same vehicle with different badging. Mechanical and service parts are the safest; lighting, bumpers and trim can differ between markets, and right-hand-drive versus left-hand-drive affects steering, mirrors and dashboards. Always check the part number against your own car before buying.

Question 3

What does B11 mean on a Datsun Sunny?

Accepted Answer

B11 is the chassis or generation code for the 1981 Datsun Sunny. Parts catalogues for older and imported cars are usually organised by chassis code rather than by model year, so it is the most reliable thing to search on.
