Low-volume cars are often built from other manufacturers' parts bins. Where that is documented, it is usually far cheaper to buy the part under the other badge.
Rover 25
The 1.8 K-series engine is Rover's, so filters, belts, water pump and gaskets are all Rover service parts. The same engine is in the MGF and MG TF, which are worth searching too. Buying any of it under the Lotus badge costs several times more for the same component.
