Question 1

What else is a 1992 Nissan Serena sold as?

Accepted Answer

A 1992 Nissan Serena is also sold as the Nissan Vanette Serena in Japan. The Nissan Vanette Serena is the same car under a different badge, so parts generally interchange.

Question 2

Do Nissan Vanette Serena parts fit a Nissan Serena?

Accepted Answer

For a market twin like the Nissan Vanette Serena, parts interchange in most cases because it is the same vehicle with different badging. Mechanical and service parts are the safest; lighting, bumpers and trim can differ between markets, and right-hand-drive versus left-hand-drive affects steering, mirrors and dashboards. Always check the part number against your own car before buying.

Question 3

What does C23 mean on a Nissan Serena?

Accepted Answer

C23 is the chassis or generation code for the 1992 Nissan Serena. Parts catalogues for older and imported cars are usually organised by chassis code rather than by model year, so it is the most reliable thing to search on.
