Question 1

What else is a 1973 Nissan Sunny sold as?

Accepted Answer

A 1973 Nissan Sunny is also sold as the Datsun 120Y in the UK, the Datsun Sunny in Europe, the Datsun B210 in the USA. The Datsun 120Y is the same car under a different badge, so parts generally interchange.

Question 2

Do Datsun 120Y parts fit a Nissan Sunny?

Accepted Answer

For a market twin like the Datsun 120Y, parts interchange in most cases because it is the same vehicle with different badging. Mechanical and service parts are the safest; lighting, bumpers and trim can differ between markets, and right-hand-drive versus left-hand-drive affects steering, mirrors and dashboards. Always check the part number against your own car before buying.

Question 3

What does B210 mean on a Nissan Sunny?

Accepted Answer

B210 is the chassis or generation code for the 1973 Nissan Sunny. Parts catalogues for older and imported cars are usually organised by chassis code rather than by model year, so it is the most reliable thing to search on.
